Lab FAQs

Lab and scan questions

Do I need a doctor's referral?

Not for most blood tests. Ultrasound and some hormone tests need a request form or a short consultation, so that the right scan or test is done.

Which results take longer than 24 hours?

Cultures take 48 to 72 hours, and a few specialised tests go to a partner reference laboratory and take three to seven days. We tell you at payment.

How will I receive my results?

By SMS link or email, whichever you prefer. Printed copies are available at the front desk, and results stay on file for five years.

Can you collect samples at home or at the office?

Yes, within GRA Phase 1 and 2, Old GRA and Trans-Amadi, for a ₦10,000 call-out fee. Screening days for teams of 10 or more can be arranged at your premises.

Do I need a full bladder for my scan?

For pelvic and early pregnancy scans, yes. Drink about a litre of water an hour before and do not empty your bladder. We remind you when you book.
